Upcoming Events
PETS Needs Your Help!!!
We're having a Carwash Fundraiser on August 8th
at the Pointer Ridge Sonoco Station on Rt. 301 South
(1400 Crain Highway, Bowie MD 20716)
at the intersection with Pointer Ridge Dr.
(just north of Rt. 214).
The hours are from 10AM to 4PM.
Any hours of your time that you can volunteer
to help out would be greatly appreciated!
Please spread the word about the carwash to friends,
relatives, neighbors, or other acquaintances.
Cars will be washed for donations ($10 suggested donation).
All (Tax Deductible) Donations will Benefit the PETS Program.
If you come to help, please bring buckets,
sponges, chamois, and anyone else
that you can talk into helping us out.
Please let us know if you will be able to help us with
the carwash by replying to this message, emailing petsmsg@yahoo.com,
or call the Barn at 301-627-4308.

GOODSEARCH & GOODSHOP
As
you may have noticed, there is a GOODSEARCH logo on the left
side of our website home page. If you click on the logo, you
can do your searching and buying through this site. It is a
fund raising search, safe, secure etc, and offers many many
stores to use. We will soon have an actual "search box"
added, where you can use us for a home page and do your
searching from Good Search, which is powered by Yahoo,
instead of searching through google or yahoo, or whatever
you are using now. For each search we get paid a penny or
so, and for each purchase, just like our script cards, we
get a percentage from the sale. You shop anyway, so why not
help out PETS and search with GOODSEARCH and shop with
GOODSHOP.
Instructions: Click on the logo and the
GOODSEARCH page will come up (either GOODSEARCH or
GOODSHOP). On the GOODSEARCH page that comes up you will see
the box "who do you want to search for".. If our name does
not show up automatically, just type in : PETS - Progressive
Equestrian Therapeutic Services (Upper Marlboro, MD) or
browse through the list. The rest is self explanatory. After
that, PETS should show up each time you click it on. Please
give it a try. There are also links that you can actually
change your search engine to GOODSEARCH if you'd like, so
that every time you search like you usually do anyway, PETS
will get a donation. Please check it out.
We
hope you will all start using GOODSEARCH, but, as you can
see... do not ABUSE it..or we will lose our access. Thanks
for your help!

can still use a new electric fence charger. DONATIONS are greatly
appreciated so we can purchase a new one. They cost around
$300.00. We can still use some help in purchasing new
chargers!

PREPAID SHOPPING
CARDS (SCRIPS)
Please remember, our Pre-paid Shopping Card
(SCRIPS) fundraiser carries on. This is an on-going
fundraiser. Our next due date for orders will be due on
on Sept. 24th. The latest version of PETS' Scrip Order Form is now uploaded. Please do not use any previous versions that you might have left over from earlier orders.
Please note that the order forms are due back by September 24th. You can also turn in your orders and payments at the barn on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday nights.
Note: Great Lakes Scrip has changed how the various cards are displayed on the order forms. All the regular cards are there, you just may have to search the form to find their new location.
A Scrip Rebate Agreement Form is attached for those of you who have never placed a PETS Scrip order before or haven't placed a Scrip order since last Fall.
This is the time
to start thinking about those Holiday Season Gift Cards!!
For
more information, please contact us. Or, please click on the
link to the left entitled "SCRIP", fill out which cards you
wish to purchase, and mail in. They make GREAT everyday
gifts. If you shop at a particular store anyway... why not
help out PETS and purchase a card from us.
Help support PETS. Remember, we
are still an all volunteer, non-profit organization,
requiring volunteer time, donations and fundraisers to keep
us going.

NEEDED
Even
though we have a few prospects on the horizon, PETS is always
looking for a few good horses. Click

Please Remember: PETS "Horsey" Members and
anyone who knows "horsey" people: Please continue saving
your Proof of Purchase Seals from your Southern States Feed
Bags. We are now enrolled in the S.H.O.W. program for which
we will receive monetary reward for sending them in. When
the season starts, there will be a drop off box at the Barn
to put them in. Contact Debbi B. for more
information.
